Online Payments - why does it matter?

I use and really value Odoo Online (the SaaS version). Not having to worry about a server, backups, or access to migration tools is an enormous convenience. There is, however, one key limitation – the inability to install custom modules.

Usually this isn't a problem, but it becomes crucial in the area of online payments. For every Polish company that sells online or wants to make it easier for customers to pay invoices, the availability of gateways such as Przelewy24 or TPay, along with BLIK payments, is absolutely essential. So let's see what options Odoo offers.

Payments in Odoo - only for eCommerce?

Although they're mainly associated with e-commerce stores, online payments in Odoo have a much wider range of uses.

They come in handy, for example, in the Subscriptions module for managing recurring payments. The system can automatically send the customer an invoice with a link or a QR code that takes them straight to a payment panel with the options we've chosen.

Available payment providers in Odoo

By default, Odoo offers a wide list of integrated payment providers, available in both the Community and Enterprise versions. On that list you'll find global players such as Adyen, Stripe, or PayPal.

Unfortunately, at first glance it's clear that direct integrations with the most popular Polish operators are missing. That's understandable – Odoo, being Belgian software, focuses on global solutions. But does that mean we're left without the payment methods that matter most to us?

Are BLIK and Przelewy24 available in Odoo?

The short answer is: yes! If the availability of these methods is a condition for launching your store or invoicing system, you can go ahead with confidence.

BLIK: It's available natively in Odoo through the Adyen payment gateway.

Przelewy24: This gateway can be used via several global operators, such as Adyen, Buckaroo, Mollie, Stripe, and Worldline. In practice, this means that after choosing the payment option, the customer is redirected to the Przelewy24 form, where they can select their bank.

Cost comparison – the key to optimization

Availability is one thing, but costs are what matter most. Below is a detailed comparison of commissions for the most popular payment methods among providers integrated with Odoo, as well as Polish operators (data as of 17 October 2025).

Fees among providers integrated with Odoo

Provider Method Fee
Adyen BLIK €0.11 + 1.5%
Adyen Bank Transfer €0.11 + 2.30%
Adyen MasterCard / VISA €0.11 + Interchange+ + 0.60%
Stripe Bank Transfer 1.9% + 1.00zł
Stripe MasterCard / VISA 1.5% + 1.00zł
Buckaroo Bank Transfer €0.25 + 2.00%
Mollie Bank Transfer 0.90% + €0.25
Mollie MasterCard / VISA 1.80% + €0.25
Wordline Bank Transfer MasterCard / VISA No data

Interchange+ - fee 0.3% - 0.4% in the EU, 2% in the US

Standard fees of Polish operators

Przelewy24 BLIK / Online Transfer / Card 1.29% + 30gr
TPay BLIK 1.59% + 39gr (initially 0.99% + 39g)
TPay Online Payment 1.78% + 39gr (initially 0.99% + 39g)

Conclusions and recommendations

A clear picture emerges from the data above:

For Odoo Online users: the only "out of the box" option for BLIK payments is Adyen. It's a fully functional solution, though its commissions may be higher compared to direct agreements with Polish operators.

For Odoo.sh and self-hosted users: here, much greater flexibility opens up. The data shows that a direct integration with Przelewy24 is often the most advantageous option, especially for BLIK and card payments. To use it, you need to install a custom module, such as the one built by Adapt IT, available in the official Odoo app store.

Which provider you ultimately choose depends on the structure of your sales and your average transaction value. It's worth carefully calculating which combination of fixed and percentage fees will work out best for you.
