Odoo ships a new version every year, and older editions eventually lose support. Migration has a reputation for being risky — and it is, if you do it without a plan.

What a migration covers

  • Auditing the current install — checking which modules, including custom ones, are in active use and how they'll be affected.
  • Migrating on a test environment — nothing touches production until I've run the full process against a copy of the database.
  • Updating custom modules — adapting your custom features and integrations to the new Odoo version.
  • A cutover with minimal downtime — timing the switch so your team loses as little working time as possible.
